We are a team formed by Panagiotis Vroustouris, a Certified Auditor in Greece, and Constantinos Caramanis, a Professor of Accounting and Business Consultant. For two decades, we’ve merged practical expertise with rigorous academic analysis, delivering tailored technical support to businesses in legal disputes, arbitration, regulatory hearings, negotiations, or strategic decisions. Our team, augmented by external experts as needed for each case, possesses expertise across accounting regulations (IFRSs and Greek accounting standards), taxation, topics in applied business law, business valuation, and financial statement audits.
We offer customized technical support in legal disputes, arbitration, and regulatory hearings or negotiations. Our team’s expertise spans accounting regulations for both public interest (IFRSs) and non-public interest firms (Greek accounting standards), applied business law, financial statement audits, and various types of taxation. We emphasize that addressing tax issues, whether in or out of court, often requires a solid understanding of accounting, as the two frameworks (tax and accounting) share important, and sometimes not immediately apparent, connections.
Our activities extend to business valuations for mergers and acquisitions, investment disposals, or demergers; measuring the economic impact of transactions or events; offering interpretations or opinions on accounting and auditing standards, and tax legislation. We’re also adept at structuring transactions to align with legal requirements. Moreover, our roles often include serving on or leading audit committees for public interest entities and beyond.

Panagiotis Vroustouris
Certified Auditor
Panagiotis Vroustouris, a graduate of the University of Piraeus, is the Chairman and CEO of the auditing firm MPI HELLAS SA and has been practicing as a Certified Public Accountant for over three decades. He was a member of the working group that drafted Law 4308/2014 (Greek Accounting Standards) and is a member of the Permanent Committee supporting its implementation. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in drafting Presidential Decree 54/2018, which concerns the accounting framework for general government entities. He continues to serve as a consultant on a pilot implementation project for public sector entities through the Athens University of Economics and Business. He served as a member of the Greek Accounting Standards Board from 2005 to 2017, a position to which he was reappointed in 2024. From 2001 to 2007, he was a member of the Accounting Regulatory Committee (ARC), which consults the EU on the application of IFRS/IAS issued by the IASB. Furthermore, he played a central role in translating the International Accounting Standards and the International Standards on Auditing into Greek. He has published seven books on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Greek Accounting Standards, and has contributed articles to newspapers and professional magazines. He is a certified instructor and teaches professional development programs for accountants on tax and accounting topics at the Athens University of Economics and Business. Beyond providing audit services across various sectors and organizations, he offers consultancy in a broad range of Accounting, Finance, and Taxation issues.
Konstantinos Karamanis
Professor of Accounting, AUEB, and Business Consultant
Professor Karamanis chaired the working group that drafted Law 4308/2014 (Greek Accounting Standards). He also headed a committee which prepared the texts of various pieces of secondary legislation for implementing Law 4308/2014, including the tax circular POL 1003/2014 and the Accounting Guidance issued by the Hellenic Accounting and Auditing Standards Oversight Board. Additionally, he participated in the Drafting Committee of Presidential Decree 54/2018 (the accounting framework for general government entities for Greece). He has served as a member of the He served as a member of the Greek Accounting Standards Board and as a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (SOEL). He started his career as a certified accountant, a member of the Body of Certified Public Accountants (1988-1993), before embarking on his doctoral studies. He taught at the University of Manchester as a faculty member from 1996 to 1999, when he joined the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), teaching accounting and auditing courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He also teaches and directs the long-term seminar "Professional Training in Accounting and Taxation: A Practical Approach" and other seminars at the Center for Lifelong Learning of AUEB. He has authored three manuals on Greek Accounting Standards for professionals and a textbook on auditing for professionals and students, a chapter in an international volume on Accounting and Auditing in Greece, and a monograph on the impact of International Accounting Standards. He played a central role in translating the International Standards on Auditing into Greek. He has published a significant number of research papers in leading international academic journals, receiving corresponding recognition based on citation systems. In 2016, he was awarded the «Notable Contributions to the Auditing Literature Award» by the American Accounting Association, recognizing his exceptionally valuable research with significant contributions to education, practice, and research. For over two decades, he has offered consultancy services in various areas of Accounting, Finance, and Taxation, either through the Research Center of the Athens University of Economics and Business or by practicing as a freelancer.
